Some of
my hobbies include but are not limited to reading, sewing, crocheting,
scrapbooking, doing puzzles and word finds.
I enjoy
collecting candy dispensers, Boyds Bears, thimbles, stamps, Dr. Seuss "Cat in the Hat" objects, postcards, cookie jars, and M&M
collectibles.
I volunteer
in some of our local schools, have served on several committees and organizations
such as Neighborhood Watch and Kiwanis. Being informed and active in the
communities I live and work in has allowed me the opportunity to meet
and interact with many wonderful people.
Working
with young people is something that I especially enjoy. It is my job to
communicate with children, their parents and their schools to work as
a team to provide the services they deserve. It's important to me to impress
upon our youth that learning and reading go hand in hand and are lifelong
habits.
I consider
myself a lifelong learner. My curiosity to learn new things opens many
doors and presents new challenges on a daily basis.
