Enjoy a free afternoon at the movies! We'll screen a favorite classic film each month. This month, join us for a classic Western starring Gary Cooper. A retired marshal's wedding is interrupted when he learns a killer he had sent to jail will return to town on the noon train to seek revenge. The townspeople refuse to help him, so he is forced to take up his badge and guns again, alienating his new bride, a Quaker who is opposed to violence. Refreshments will be provided.

A vacationing young lady meets, falls in love with, and marries handsome and wealthy widower Maxim de Winter. He takes his new bride home to his estate, Manderley. But the new Mrs. de Winter finds her married life dominated by the sinister, almost spectral influence of Maxim's late wife, Rebecca, who still rules from beyond the grave. Join us in February as we discuss A Winsome Murder by James DeVita. A serial killer brings bloody murder to the pastoral Wisconsin town of Winsome Bay, requiring the expertise of detective James Mangan, a hard-bitten Chicago cop with an unexpected knowledge of Shakespeare. DeVita will visit the Library in April for the Fox Cities Book Festival.

MOOC: Climate Change Policy & Public Health

The Kimberly-Little Chute Public Library has joined forces with UW-Madison & WiLS to deliver a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Climate Change Policy and Public Health. The free online course will run from Nov 9 to Dec 7. Sign-up is underway at www.moocs.wisc.edu.
