On occasion, the river would rise above the bridge. AS long as my Dad could see the bridge decking, he would give our Buick across. I don't think that my Mother liked that.
I'm not sure I would either! Lots of people having been mentioning how high the river would come on this bridge, and that sometimes it would be completely covered. Sounds like today's option is much better! :)
