Personal belongings often have special meaning for individuals and family members. Planning to pass on such items — treasured wedding photos, Grandpa's fishing tackle box, or a well-used yellow pie plate — can be challenging, and may lead to family conflict.

This free seminar will provide practical information about the inheritance and transfer of non-titled personal property. It will help families communicate, make decisions, and lessen conflict. Karen Dickrell, Outagamie County UW-Extension, will help participants learn to recognize and understand the sensitivity of transferring personal property, determine what “fair” means to their family, identify the meaning of objects, consider distribution options, and manage conflicts.
