    “Pooches and Page Turners” Kick-off Event
    Saturday, September 11, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
    Little Chute Public Library

    Come sit, stay, and learn all about therapy dogs! Karen Cove will share the fetching story of her dog, Poppet, and Molly Johnson from Compassionate Canines will tell us more about the wonderful work of therapy dogs. Kids will get the chance to meet and greet some friendly dogs and make a cool doggy craft. After the program, kids in grades 1-5 can sign up to read to a therapy dog on October 9 from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Call-in registration starts Monday, September 13 (920-788-7825). Program is offered at the Little Chute Public Library. All dogs are registered therapy dogs and have met strict health and temperament requirements.

    Talk Like a Pirate Day Party

    Shiver me timbers! It’s time to gather all ye hearties to celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day! Enter the library if ye dare for an evening of all things piratical. Hear a pirate tale, get a tattoo, create yer own parrot, and learn to talk like a pirate--arrr! Pirate costumes are encouraged. Fun for scallywags of all ages.

    What’s cooler than no school? How about a fire-breathing pet dragon? Join us for this great movie based on the Hiccup the Viking book series by Cressida Cowell. Free popcorn provided. Bring your own water bottle and blanket—Viking helmet is optional.

    Big brothers and sisters are back in school, so what’s a preschooler to do? Head on over to the library as we host our own special school time. We’ll enjoy stories about school and learn about letters, numbers, and colors--plus you’ll even get some homework! Perfect for preschoolers and their caregivers. No registration required.

    Family Story Time: Seven Weeks of Super Stories
    September 13-October 28

    Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. in Kimberly

    Get ready for stories, songs, rhymes, and fun with Miss Ann and Miss Jill! These half-hour weekly events are free for children from birth through age six and their caring adult. No registration is required. Please note that the same story time will be presented at all three times during each week.

    It’s never too early to read together! Enjoy rollicking rhymes, bright books, and merry music with your little one during this twenty-minute program for babies birth-18 months old and their parents/caregivers. Bring a pillow to sit on and get ready for some great cuddle time.
