    Book Babies Story Time

    Mondays, March 12, 19 & 26 @10:15AM
    Little Chute Public Library

    It’s never too early to read together! Enjoy rollicking rhymes, bright books, and merry music with your little one during this twenty-minute program for babies birth-24 months old and their parents/caregivers. Bring a pillow to sit on and get ready for some great cuddle time. Stay longer and enjoy baby play time and visit with other parents/caregivers, too!

    Celebrate Football: A Family Super Bowl Party

    Monday, January 30 @ 6:30PM
    Kimberly Public Library

    Are you ready for some football fun? Cheer on your favorite team by wearing your favorite jersey. Hear a football story, make a pennant, plus test your athletic feats with a Target Toss and obstacle course. Try out a few football drills with a Papermaker, and finish the night by eating your own Superbowl “sundae!” Great for football fans ages 4 & up. This program is brought to you in partnership with the Kimberly Parks & Rec Dept.

    Stuffed Animal Sleepover

    Friday, February 17 @ 4PM
    Little Chute Library

    Your favorite stuffed animal is invited to a sleepover at the library! Bring in your cuddly friend for a special story time. Afterwards, all the buddies will get tucked in—with good night kisses—and stay for their own special sleepover. Pick up your stuffed animal on Saturday between 10 a.m. until noon and find out about all the fun activities that happened overnight!

    Enjoy a family movie night at the library with great new-to-DVD movies. Bring your own water bottle and blankets, and we’ll supply the popcorn.

    Hugo is an orphan boy who lives a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. When Hugo encounters a broken machine, an eccentric girl, and the cold, reserved man who runs the toy shop, he gets caught up in a magical, mysterious adventure. This movie is based on the award-winning book The Invention of Hugo Cabret.

    Captain Underpants Party

    What better way to celebrate April foolishness than with a party all about underwear? Get ready for a crazy time as we pay tribute to all things Captain Underpants. Yes, there will be plenty of bathroom-related hijinks including an underwear fling, a plunger relay, and a few activities with toilet paper. This is one party fans of the Captain Underpants books won’t want to miss! Geared for kids in grades 2-5.

    National Library Week Concert Featuring Fred Turk

    Celebrate National Library Week with a fabulous family concert featuring Fred Turk. Fred will entertain you with silly songs and lots of puppets. You’ll even get a chance to be a star as Fred loves to give kids a chance to be on stage. Join us on this “no school day” and help us celebrate all the great things about the library!

    Read a good book lately? Want to hear about good reads? Here is your change to share about your faves and discover what's new and cool at the library. We'll share a story, supply a snack, and savor a relaxing time discussing books with you! This club is geared for kids ages 5-11.

    1000 Books Before Kindergarten: Old MacDonald's Farm

    Learn about the importance of early literacy and help your child get ready to read! This program is designed for families with children birth through age 5. Learn more about this exciting opportunity to learn and grow with your child.

    Pooches and Pages: Read to a Therapy Dog

    10:30AM to 12PM @ Little Chute Library
    3rd Saturday of each month
    September through April (no December session)

    Kids in grades 1-5 are invited to read to a therapy dog. Registration is open for the entire session, so call 788-7825 to reserve your “Spot.” It’s fun to turn a page with a pooch!

    Registration is required, either in person or by calling 788-7825.
